MadPsychedelic Entanglements

The MadPsychedelics Collaboratory is an international research network concerned with the porous boundaries between madness and psychedelic experiences.

Bringing together people with lived experience and interdisciplinary researchers, we are interested in how extreme experiences are interpreted, governed, cared for, and lived across disparate clinical, community, spiritual, and social contexts. We are particularly interested in questions surrounding crisis, coercion, risk, meaning-making, recovery and integration, peer knowledge, stigma and taboo, and the ethical futures of mental health care.

Through workshops and events, collaborative research, community engagement, and international partnerships, the Collaboratory aims to foster rigorous and critically engaged conversations about the shifting boundaries between the psychedelic, the psychotic, the therapeutic, and the pathological.
